192.168.50.1 Router Login
192.168.50.1 is the newer ASUS default, used across ZenWiFi mesh systems, ROG gaming routers and recent AX models.
Which routers answer on 192.168.50.1
ASUS historically used 192.168.1.1 and still does on much of the RT range, but newer hardware ships on 192.168.50.1 instead. The change reduces collisions when an ASUS mesh system is installed behind an existing ISP router, which very often occupies 192.168.1.1 already.
Which address your ASUS uses therefore depends on when it was made rather than what it is called. Both are worth trying, and router.asus.com works regardless of which one the unit landed on, which makes it the more reliable way in.

Connect to the router first
Join its Wi-Fi or plug into a LAN port. A private address is unreachable from mobile data or from any other network, so this step is not optional.

Accept the certificate warning
Routers rarely carry a trusted TLS certificate. On your own hardware the warning is expected; choose Advanced then Proceed.

Check the sticker on the unit first — it overrides any published list. Then replace the factory admin password before you do anything else.

192.168.50.1 not opening?
In a ZenWiFi mesh you log in to the primary node, not a satellite. Satellites take their own addresses from the primary and have no independent admin panel worth reaching.
The fastest way to settle it is to read the gateway address off the device in your hand rather than working down a list. On Windows run ipconfig and read Default Gateway; on macOS open System Settings › Network › Details › TCP/IP and read Router.
